A dedication service was held for the new District Parsonage and office last June 28 of this year which located at a rented house in Quezon St., Purok Zone 2 in Atimonan of the Quezon Province. This will be the home of the Rev. DS Joseph Flores and his family and will serve as office of the Quezon District.
Rev. Nazzer Oliveros of Atimonan UMC led the dedication service with guests of pastors and laity of the district. An indigenous worship service was held and visitors gave gifts and money as their blessings to the new district parsonage and office. The Certificate of Dedication was signed by all the guests as a sign that the place was blessed and recieved by the whole community of the district of Quezon.
The District United Methodist Women contributed for the snack of “pansit bihon” and “suman”. And they attended this service as they will conduct their own overnight program planning at the residence of Annabelle Macalino of Atimonan UMC who is the vice president of the Conference United Methodist Women organization.
Rev. DS Joseph Flores and his wife Pastor Carol Flores were formerly residing at Atimonan UMC where Pastor Carol was assigned as administrative pastor. The Atimonan UMC also served as the District Office. Since Pastor Carol Flores was assigned to Alabat UMC in Alabat island of the Province of Quezon it was decided to rent an apartment to serve as the Quezon District Office in the mainland. Pastor Carol who is also a kindergarten teacher of the Alabat United Methodist Christian school who is staying in Alabat, Quezon will from time to time visit their district parsonage in the mainland at Atimonan, Quezon. DS Flores is with his sons JC, Carlo and Jed while her daughter Khristine is staying with her aunt (Pastor Carol’s sister) who is a deaconess in Quezon City.
