The United Methodist Youth Fellowship of Quezon District held their annual Summer Institute at Galilee UMC at Baranggay Capaluhan, Calauag, Quezon last April 21 – 24, 2014 with the theme “Go, Grow, Glow: Working for God’s Glory”. About 60 young people attended the 4 day event reflecting, getting closer to God and getting ready for service.
They also elected the new set of Officers in Quezon District during the District Youth Council. The following we’re the elected officers:
Deo Arman Evangelista (Atimonan UMC) – President
Saida Marcelo (Atimonan UMC) – Vice President
Jed Christian Flores (Alabat UMC)- Executive Secretary
Camille Borromeo (Atimonan UMC) – Finance Officer
Geraldine Mejia (Atimonan UMC)- Finance Department Head
Jamaica Eclavea (Kalinangan UMC) – ICRD
Ydhai Cajefe (Atimonan UMC) – ECSA
Kiela Chavarria (Atimonan UMC) – CNF
The young people enjoyed the rural life in Baranggay Capaluhan and visited its fine beach held a camp fire fellowship and also lectures and group discussion.
They also conducted a free film showing opened to the community of Baranggay Capaluhan and people watch “Knowing” starring Nicolas Cage and Rev. DS Joseph Flores of Quezon District gave the exhortation and challenges people to have a commitment with Jesus Christ.
