Tribute to outgoing church workers namely – Rev. DS Joseph Flores, Pastor Carol Flores and deaconess Danica San Juan

The Quezon District through its Council of Ministries held a “despidida” Farewell at Thanksgiving fellowship to its three church worker including the outgoing district superintendent of Quezon District Rev. Joseph Flores and the others were the wife of DS Flores, Pastor Carol Flores currently the pastor of Alabat UMC and deaconess Danica San Juan also of Alabat UMC. It was held at Atimonan UMC last May 1, 2015 were pastors and local church leaders gave their farewell and thanksgiving messages.

Rev. Joseph Flores served four years as district superintendent of Quezon District the longest among the DSes in STPPAC. Inspite of limited financial support DS Flores survived serving as the father of the district. He is very active in looking for financial support for striving mission churches of the district. He help start Dalahican Mission and supported adopting General Luna Church as part of United Methodist connection. He also help reviving Simbayan Mission in Mauban, Quezon and became their pulpit supply preacher. He will be assigned in a local church in Manila.

Pastor Carol Flores currently the pastor of Alabat UMC will be assigned in a mission congregation in Batangas Province under the Philippines Annual Conference. Both husband and wife wer original pastors of the STPPAC and also the now defunct Laguna Quzeon Mission District serving local church in Laguna area and also in Quezon.

Danica San Juan is newly commissioned deaconess of the STPPAC and the preschool in Alabat UMC is her first episcopal assignment. She is assigned to a pre school at San Pablo UMC in San Pablo City, Laguna Province. She is originally came from the Jesus Reigns UMC in Pila, Laguna and newly graduate of Harris Memorial College – the school for deaconesses almost a year ago.
