The Quezon District held its first district meeting for the conference year 2015 to 2016 at Atimonan UMC last June 12 – 13, 2015 and welcomes its new church workers and also held its adjourned session with DS Francis Pera as its presider.
A welcoming worship service was held on Friday night of June 12 for the new church workers of Quezon District namely Rev. Nathaniel Francisco who is assigned to Alabat UMC and Carol Pendon a deaconess also assigned in Alabat UMC and also the new district superintendent Rev. Francis Pera. A tribute with prayers were given to the church workers including their spouses. Carol Pendon was a returning deaconess to Alabat UMC while Rev. Nathaniel Francisco was once a mission worker to Quezon Province at San Francisco mission.
The same night also held the United Methodist Women assembly of Quezon District and elected its new officers for the new conference year. Gemma Pera the wife of DS Pera met the three clergy spouses namely Michelle Oliveros, Linda Diokno and Laarni Francisco the new member of the the clergy spouses newly wed to Rev. Nathaniel Francisco.
Rev. Francis Pera presided over the adourned session of the Quezon District Conference and prepares the district for new conference year of ministry.
