More than 60 children flocked to the Dalahican Mission Site one Saturday morning Sept 3, 2016 at Dalahican, Lucena City, Quezon Province and listens to Daisy Francia, the Quezon District United Methodist Women as she teaches the children about Moises and they ate macaroni soup as part of the Feeding Ministry of the women’s organization.
The feeding ministry is one of the programs of the UMW of the Quezon District headed by its president Daisy Francia a church member from Kalinangan UMC in the town of Calauag, Quezon Province. It’s been two years now that the women’s organization is conducting different kind of activities to local church and mission areas in Quezon District. Some churches held Organic farming Seminar like what they did at Lopez Mission last month of July. Their objective is to empower congregations by providing training and seminars for livelihood and by supporting outreach programs like feeding ministry and gift giving.
Present in the activity is Pastor Rowena Hular the pastor assigned in the Dalahican mission which covers Lucena City and the nearby town of Tayabas. Rev. Mervin Montano is present as he visits the construction of the sanctuary of Dalahican Mission which was supported by Korean missions. District Superintendent Francis Pera with his wife Gemma also visited the event.
