Quezon District is providing a new way to commemorate the Holy Week by conducting the Heart Warming Experience Retreat now in its 7th time held last April 13-15, 2017 at the Atimonan United Methodist Church. Eighteen delegates attended this event most of them came from Galilee UMC (Calauag, Quezon) and Atimonan UMC.
This event hopes to bring people to encounter Jesus Christ as savior and healer. Around four people were new to the church and have experience the healing and saving touch of the Lord Jesus.
This is the event the Rev. DS Francis Pera will speak for the last time as district superintendent. He is now assigned in Taytay UMC and will begun his ministry there on June 1. The Rev. Nazzer Oliveros now appointed as the new district superintendent of both the Laguna and Quezon District will head the Heart Warming Experience Retreat though Rev. Pera is still expected to be ne of the speakers. This is first time for this event that they used the newly air-conditioned sanctuary of the Atimonan UMC.
Heart Warming Experience retreat is part of the UMC DOC program for discipleship and evangelism adopted by the Quezon District.
